That damn mango tree

Whenever I asked my heart, what do you deeply desire? I was always astounded by one of the answers . Witnessing rain-shower in a mango orchard! But why ? Of all the mesmerizing, enchanting places in the world , from wishing to see the beauty of Switzerland to experience the life beating in the chest of metroplitans and the most spectacular thing Earth can ever present in the form of auroras, why such a petty thing? The brain never understood. It never does.It never can. It wasnt originally given the ability to perceive innocent nonsense desires a heart puts forth.

Khair, it was a mid-noon of mid-june , a mid-june of Multan when temperature unhesitatingly crosses 45 celsius and where coming out of the room means willfully getting a taste of hell.  But this season, moon-soon came a bit early. As the rain stopped , I fetched a book and went upstairs to seek the rainbow, even though it was very far fetched thing to be expected, i still hoped seeing one that day, you can say it was one of those impending things whose vibes I catch beforehand. I searched the sky, it was so pretty , but I wanted a rainbow that day,so I sat down , got up ,searched again. After finally getting disappointed, I sat down on the floor, resting against my favorite wall and started reading the book. It wasnt a typical rainy day romance read but it was my favorite those days. As I read the line ' US started sending wires all across the globe "dont mess with Paks or United States is going to be on your ass" !. Irony is officially dead, huh ! as I scoffed and lifted my eyes off the book, and suddenly my brain shut down for a moment.

Woah! A rain- bathed, sun-sparkled , mango tree in a slow sedating dance stands gorgeously in front of my eyes.

It was my neighbours' tree. I could see its upper part only, but what a sight to the sore eyes it was! Was it the alluring, untimely pre-moonsoon or the mango trees were always this sumptuous ! I gazed and gazed and gazed. It was one of those moments when a thing that was going unnoticed for a long time suddenly and miraculously gets to have your undivided attention and everything else around you just loses its sense of existence. The sky changed its color from blue to blood red and orange and finally went all dark. But that damn mango tree imprinted some nostalgia causing memories upon my brain.  That moment I realized , why heart desires what it desires!!!

RAINBOW DID APPEAR THAT DAY , THOUGH I COULDNT HAVE A SIGHT OF IT, It WAS FINE I GUESS.
